MPS, the contracting division of the Group provides industry expertise in various applications, including concrete repair, jointing solutions and waterproofing installations. MPS has grown significantly since it was founded in 2013 and continues to evolve and expand according to industry demands.
We now have an exceptional opportunity for a commercially driven leader to take responsibility for the day to day operations and strategic delivery of this critical business unit within DB Group.
Reporting to the Group Commercial Manager, the MPS Commercial Manager will develop and deliver high-quality commercial strategies for the business to achieve projected growth.
MPS is already renowned in the industry for its ethical, reliable and highly competent services and success in this role will be gained through implementing rigorous processes to enable competitive and efficient tendering and pricing that delivers a high win rate whilst maintaining margin. You will also be responsible for managing customer contracts; leading on negotiations to reach a mutual agreement.
You will partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives in order to inform the company’s long-term strategic plans whilst maintaining a proactive and solutions-driven approach to ensure service excellence across multiple client relationships and projects. You will also be required to establish and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships in order to drive the business forward.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and build upon the existing team in order to drive revenue, ensure customer retention and develop new business opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience operating at a senior level within the concrete repair industry, ideally with responsibility for running either a small business or business unit and with a background in sales and business development. You will have proven leadership in developing product and service offerings that drive greater customer value and company returns.
Strong commercial acumen, including a keen understanding of construction contracts, is required, and Estimating experience would be advantageous. Highly attuned leadership skills and the ability to build and manage effective teams will help ensure your success in this role.
You should have excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills with experience of developing and implementing processes which suit the demands of a growing business. You should be someone who leads by example with high levels of integrity, drive and determination.
