DB Group (Holdings) Limited welcomes the formal guidance document “Working safely during COVID-19 in construction” issued by the government this week. Formal issuing of this by the government is a powerful statement of their commitment to ensuring everyone is protected when returning to work.
DB Group (Holdings) Ltd will continue to work closely with our employees, clients and supply chain partners to ensure we are working collaboratively to protect each others health, safety and well-being when we go to work every day.
Our priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our team and everyone in the extended DB Group community. From the outset, we have been closely following the guidelines from the Construction Leadership Council and other trade associations such as Mineral Products Association. In addition, we have created our own safety guidelines for all employees and are reviewing this constantly with their input.
Throughout this time, our team are working differently with a vast majority remote working. We are ensuring that we maintain regular contact with all employees, including furloughed staff to ensure they feel supported both physically and mentally. Also reminding them of DB Group’s employee assistance programme and GP Helpline which is extended to their families.
Our team may be separated, but to ensure we are still together we’ve been running weekly quizzes, competitions and regular check-ins. Utilising our HR System to keep everyone up to date with company news.
We’ve equipped our office, site and remote workers with best practice procedures and safety guidelines to ensure they can carry out their roles safely.
Our teams have been active throughout the crisis supporting our customers to ensure they have full technical support and the ability to continue to carry on building. We’ve been able to do this safely, by working together.
