Cemfree Masonry Mortar, an ultra-low carbon alternative to traditional mortars, has just announced Lyons & Annoot; one of London’s leading specialist brickwork & blockwork trade contractors, as one of their approved contractors for their ‘Portland cement free’ masonry mortar due to launch in September 2022.
Lyons & Annoot have been working closely with Cemfree to enable them to offer more sustainable solutions for their clients; this new partnership solidifies the work between the two organisations and supports their long-term goals to reduce their carbon footprint within the construction industry. Lyons & Annoot are passionate about making a difference and are one of the first five construction businesses in the UK to have achieved validation by ‘Science Based Targets Initiative’. Lyons & Annoot will be able to offer their clients Cemfree Masonry Mortar; an ultra-low carbon alternative mortar providing CO2e savings of up to 70%.
Dave Mills at Lyons & Annoot said, “Sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do, as is true for so many of our clients. That is why we are extremely excited that we will soon be able to offer the use of a more sustainable mortar for our upcoming projects. The Cemfree Masonry Mortar gives us fantastic carbon savings whilst having the same characteristics of a traditional mortar.
Katie Wills, Cemfree Masonry Mortar Project Manager said, “We are very pleased to be working closely with Lyons & Annoot to help them deliver our Cemfree Masonry Mortar to their clients. It is extremely important for us to work with organisations who are aligned to our ethos and have the same vision, and that is exactly what we get with Lyons & Annoot. I look forward to seeing the mortar in use on some live projects very soon.
